Source Flowchart Viewer Options

The Option > Flowchart command activates a dialog box containing options that determine parameters of Flowchart. This dialog box is divided into 12 tabs.

Flowchart Options General tab

Colors / Lines

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the color of the outline.

Colors / Active Block

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the color of the outline of the active block. This block automatically corresponds to the caret position in the Editor part of the Window.

Collapsed Colors / Selecting

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the outline color of a selected frame (in selecting mode).

Collapsed Colors / Selected

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the outline color of a selected frame.

Default expand level

Determines the expand level which will be used when a Flowchart is open.

Show flowchart at open

Determines whether the Editor will contain Flowchart window on opening.

Browse while holding a key

Determines if Flowchart will be updated while direction keys are pressed in the Editor.

Fading

Sets fading style for block color.

None

Block color is solid.

Fade in

Colors the interior blocks lighter.

Fade out

Colors the interior blocks darker.

Initial view

Determines the initial Flowchart type.

Initial flowchart position

Determines the initial position of Flowchart and Editor section in the window.

Sets default values in the Preferences tab.

Block type

Lists all block types that Flowchart can recognize.

Non-Structured

Distances

Determines the horizontal and vertical distance between blocks.

Margins

Determines the left and right margins of the chart.

Default

Sets default values in the "Non-Structured" tab.

Code

Flowchart Options Code tab

Top

Determines the size of the top margin.

Bottom

Determines the size of the bottom margin.

Left

Determines the size of the left margin.

Right

Determines the size of the right margin.

Equalize margins

Recalculates margins to make them equal.

Colors / Text

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the font color of a code block.

Colors / Background

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the background color of a code block.

Collapsed Colors / Text

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the font color of a collapsed block.

Collapsed Colors / Background

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the background color of a collapsed block.

Width

Determines block width.

Height

Displays minimal box height. Box height can be changed indirectly by changing the font and number of text lines.

Override editor's font

Enables you to specify a different font setting for Editor and Flowchart.

Change

Opens the Select Font dialog box. This setting works only when "Override Editor's Font" has already been selected.

Wrap lines

Enables you to wrap lines displayed in Flowchart blocks.

Centered lines

Determines whether every text line will be centered inside the block margins.

Max number of lines

Determines the maximum number of comment lines that will be displayed in a single non-function block.

Default

Sets default values in the "Code" tab.

While

Left

Determines the string that will be displayed in true branch.

Left

Determines the width of an unused space to the left of the interior block of the goto, continue, break blocks.

Colors / Background

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the background color of the goto, continue, break blocks.

Sets default values in the Goto, Continue, Break tab.

Switch

Flowchart Options Switch tab

Top

Determines the height of an unused space above the first interior case block of the switch block.

Case top

Determines the height of an unused space above every interior case block of the Switch block.

Left

Determines the width of an unused space to the left of the interior case blocks of the Switch block.

Case bottom

Determines the width of an unused space in the switch block below the last interior case block of the While block.

Colors / Text

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the font color of the switch block.

Colors / Background

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the background color of the switch block.

Default

Sets default values in the Switch tab.

Function

Flowchart Options Function tab

Top

Determines the height of an unused space above the interior block of the function block.

Bottom

Determines the height of an unused space below the interior block of the function block.

Left

Determines the width of an unused space to the left of the interior block of the function block.

Minimal width

Determines the minimal width of the function block.

Max number of lines

Determines the maximum number of comment lines that will be displayed in the function block.

Color / Text

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the font color of the function block.

Color / Background

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the background color of the function block.

Default

Sets default values in the Function tab.

Empty

Color / Text

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the font color of the empty block.

Color / Background

Opens the Color dialog box, used to change the background color of the empty block.

Empty block contents

Allows you to change the contents of the empty block.

Width

Determines empty block width.

Default

Sets default values in the Empty tab.
