While DAC startup (checking out the DAC license) the following cases could be found:

Installation Directories

Executables: "C:\Program Files\RistanCASE\Development Assistant for C". First part of this Path depends of Windows language.

Configuration: "C:\Users\Public\Documents\RistanCASE\Development Assistant for C". First part of this Path depends of Windows language.

Example Projects: "C:\Users\USER\Documents\RistanCASE\Development Assistant for C". First part of this Path depends of Windows language.

Download Updates

You can get the latest information on https://www.RistanCASE.com site. If you are a customer you may contact our support to obtain username and password. Don't hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to help you with any questions you may have or problems you may encounter.

Technical Support

In case of problems please click License Data / Copy to Clipboard to e-mail and paste this data to fax or e-mail, fully describe your hardware (PC and Printer type and manufacture) and software (operating system and version) configuration. Then send this data to the address given in your  License data / Sales/Support dialog.

License Valid, no Limitations

This is a usual state of DAC when there are no limitations. Start Help > Technical Support command to display the following dialog box:

The above dialog box shows data contained in the license file which define the elements of Technical Support. For any questions concerning the DAC, its possibilities, problems in operation, extending of maintenance agreement as well as obtaining new licenses please contact exclusively the address, telephone and facsimile number or e-mail stated in the "Support" block.

Check for updates leads to the web page showing customer's rights to DAC updates.

Important for floating licenses: License file "license.lic" needs to be installed on a license server. Please contact your network administrator.

Technical Support New License Entry Tab

Choose Save license to license file button to save the license into the DAC.LIC license file located in the "C:\Users\Public\Documents\RistanCASE\Development Assistant for C\Licenses". DAC automatically makes backup of the previous license file under the name DAC-1.LIC, DAC-2.LIC, ...

License Valid, Maintenance Agreement Expires

If there are less than 30 days until the maintenance agreement expiration the following dialog box will be displayed on the DAC startup. There are no limitations but you can't use updates if your Maintenance Agreement is expired.

License Valid, Expires

If there are less than ten days until the license expiration the following dialog box will be displayed on DAC startup.

If you do not want this dialog box to appear on application startup check Don't display this message on start check box.

License not Valid, Demo Mode

If license expired, contain an error or license file not found on DAC startup the following dialog box will be displayed.
